Welcome to the relaunch of The Wolfe Untamed podcast! We’re back, wilder than ever, and ready to dive into even more untamed adventures, inspiring stories, and unfiltered conversations. Whether you’re a long-time listener or just joining the pack, get ready for fresh perspectives, amazing guests, and a whole lot of fun.

On this episode of Wolfe Untamed, Derek sits down with Green Beret Sniper and Special Forces Army Vet John Wayne Walding to discuss his experiences serving the United States Army, the significant life lessons he’s learned, and the positive impact he’s making today. John is distinguished U.S. Army veteran with nearly 12 years of service, including seven in the 3rd Special Forces Group. He lost his right leg during the battle of Shok Valley in Afghanistan but continued to fight for several hours afterward, earning him a Silver Star Medal and other honors. Refusing to let his injury limit him, Walding became the first amputee to graduate from Special Forces Sniper School and has competed in various marathons, including the Boston Marathon and the Bataan Death March. With support from Sentinels of Freedom, he launched 5 Toes Custom, a firearms company, and later Gallantry Global Logistics. Now living in Texas with his wife and four children, Walding travels the country as a motivational speaker, embodying his motto, “Lean Forward, Fight Hard,” while continuing to engage with Sentinels of Freedom for ongoing mentorship.
